The two were among Kenyans who graced a high-profile event in Seattle, Washington, attended by key political figures, including Martha Karua and former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua.
Did Samidoh and Baby Top meet in the US?
The diaspora gathering, although largely professional, took a light-hearted turn after a photo of Samidoh and Baby Top caught fans’ attention.
In the now-viral photo, Baby Top and Samidoh are seen smiling warmly, their outfits complementing each other stylishly.
Samidoh was dressed in a sharp all-white suit paired with a black shirt, and Baby Top in a chic black ensemble featuring a knee-length dress with sheer extensions flowing down her legs.
However, what stirred the online chatter was their pose.
Baby Top had her hand warmly wrapped around Samidoh’s waist, a pose many felt mimicked how lovers pose at weddings.
The two also raised one finger each, possibly referencing their political allegiances with Gachagua.
Samidoh's caption, written in Kikuyu, is what fuelled the chatter:
"Good morning from Seattle. The most important thing is that when a friend lends you something, you use it well and return it."
Who is Baby Top dating?
While many saw the image and caption as a harmless moment between two long-time friends known for their online banter, one person who did not take it lightly was Waithaka wa Jane, Baby Top’s known lover and fellow Mugithi singer.
Reacting in the comment section, Waithaka cheekily expressed faux concern over potentially losing his partner, writing:
"Let me book a flight now."
He also posted an edited photo of himself as a heavily built man flanked by riot police in full gear, possibly to intimidate Samidoh humourously.
His playful yet telling response amused fans even more, with netizens quick to reference Samidoh’s colourful relationship history, including his widely publicised drama involving politician Karen Nyamu.

Did Baby Top and Karen Nyamu clash over Waithaka?
Recently, Nyamu sparked a hilarious back-and-forth with Baby Top after sharing suggestive photos of herself hanging out with Waithaka.
Baby Top did not let it slide, clapping back with an equally cheeky photo of herself playing a game of police and robbers with Samidoh, Nyamu’s baby daddy.
Their humorous social media exchange left fans thoroughly entertained and craving more, though it all seemed to be just playful banter with no real drama behind it.
