Kiuna passed away at a hospital in Nairobi while undergoing treatment for myeloma, a form of blood cancer that is manageable but has no known cure. JCC confirmed his death in a press release in 2024 and appealed for privacy for the grieving family.

Together with his wife, Reverend Kathy, Kiuna lived in a lavish mansion situated in the exclusive Runda suburb.

Did Kathy and Kiuna take a loan?

In other news, Kathy disclosed that she and her late husband had taken a KSh 250 million loan 15 years ago to acquire JCC Parklands.

Over the years, they had repaid KSh 430 million, which included interest, and believed the loan was nearly settled.

However, after Kiuna’s passing, Kathy was stunned to learn from the bank that they still had an outstanding balance of KSh 196 million. She recalled her husband reassuring her before his death, not to worry, saying that God had already taken over and everything would be fine.

Just three weeks after his death, the bank contacted her and informed her that KSh 120 million of the debt had been waived.

This reduced the balance to KSh 74 million. Ready to sell their home to clear the debt, Kathy reached out to a church apostle for support.

In a remarkable turn of events, the apostle rallied friends and congregants, and within just one hour, they managed to raise the full KSh 74 million. Kathy later declared the church officially debt-free, crediting divine intervention and the support of their community.
