Samidoh Reunites with Rigathi Gachagua in US, Performs at Diaspora Meeting: "Watu Wameamua"

Singing police officer Samidoh Muchoki met former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua during a meeting in the US.

Gachagua live-streamed the event on his Facebook page, showing a good number of Kenyans gathering to welcome and listen to him.
The meeting in Seattle, Washington, was hosted by Muthoni Baby Top.
What did Samidoh say in US?
She humorously introduced Samidoh by saying:

“I want to present to you a young man we want to arrest and take to Kamiti to wash clothes for criminals.”
The crowd cheered as Samidoh took to the stage to serenade them. Samidoh greeted the crowd before leading them in anti-government chants.
"What do you say?" he asked.
The crowd responded by saying:
"Wantam."
The singer urged them to say it louder. He referred to his problems with the National Police Service, saying:
“Your Excellency, when we echo what you say (wantam), they arrest us, but if that's what you (the audience) have decided, then it's the Seattle declaration.”
Samidoh then broke into a worship song, with the crowd singing along word by word. Before sitting back down, Samidoh greeted Gachagua and his wife, Pastor Dorcas, and Martha Karua.
“I'm travelling back, I don’t have a lover in the US. You know, when Samidoh gets into trouble, he comes here to hide,” Muthoni teased him.
Gachagua complained about the high living costs in Kenya and rubbished figures from the Treasury that claimed the country had experienced economic growth.
“We are witnessing the highest level of human rights violations since independence,” the politician said.
What did Gachagua say about Samidoh?
He added that he was in no hurry to return to Kenya.
“We will be around for a while to listen to the Kenyan people in the US. I am not in a hurry to leave. Given how you have treated me, I should have come here a bit earlier,” he said amid cheers.
Gachagua spoke about Samidoh, praising his musical prowess while bashing artistes courting the government.
“Samidoh has been around here. He is a great guy, and we love his music. They tried to coerce musicians to sing for them, saying SHA is working. I told them that it is not their work. Their work is to sing for us so we can sleep well.”
Gachagua urged musicians from the Mount Kenya region to stick to love and courtship.
Did Samidoh meet Fred Matiang'i?
In other news, TUKO.co.ke reported that a photo of Samidoh shaking hands with Fred Matiang’i caused a buzz, with many speculating about his political leanings.

The two met outside a wooden structure in what appeared to be the US.
Samidoh wore a coat, black trousers, and loafers, while Matiang’i sported khaki trousers and brown shoes.
Their friendly encounter fuelled rumours of Samidoh aligning with the opposition ahead of 2027, given Matiang’i’s expected role in the anti-Ruto coalition.
