Pastor Ezekiel questioned their reasoning for blaming his partnership with Ruto when they had desired Raila to become president.

"Some people are saying Raila Odinga betrayed us. But aren't you the ones who denied him your vote? Didn’t you vote? Was Raila supposed to elect himself? People are complaining that Raila has betrayed us by joining Ruto. Didn't you want him to become president? Now he works with the government; isn’t that what you wanted? You also voted for Ruto, and now he is the president. You can't have it both ways. You criticised Mwai Kibaki and urged Uhuru Kenyatta to step down; you even went so far as to burn down his garden...," he said.

The video of his remarks sparked mixed reactions on social media.
