MC Exodus revealed that he once lived in a toilet at Winners Chapel Church in South B, Nairobi, due to homelessness.
How did MC Exodus survive without home?
During an interview on Radio 47, the funnyman recounted how he faced this challenging situation but found temporary refuge within the church premises.
“I used to live in a toilet in Winners Chapel Church in South B because I lacked shelter,” he said.
At that time, he actively participated in the church's youth meetings, which were held regularly.
Despite his hardships, he remained dedicated to the youth ministry.
“I didn’t have many possessions; I even gave some of my clothes to those in need,” he shared.
The comedian explained that the toilet he resided in was rarely used during weekdays, making it easier for him to go unnoticed.
How Exodus was rescued from living in toilet
After confiding in the church's youth leader, he was given access to the toilet.
However, one day he was discovered and asked to leave. Concerned for his safety and without any family in Nairobi, MC Exodus reached out to the church's pastor, who ordered that he not be removed from the church premises.
“I called the pastor and explained my situation… he knew me and said I should not be interrupted,” MC Exodus recalled.
Thanks to the pastor's intervention, he was later offered a safer, more secure toilet within the church compound, where he could sleep undisturbed.
