Chira, who died in 2024 following a tragic road accident, was not only a beloved figure on TikTok but also a breadwinner for his grandmother, who had raised him.
What happened to Chira's grave?
Following his death, Kenyans and fellow TikTokers rallied to give him a respectable send-off.

Part of the funds raised during the viral fundraiser were channelled towards building him a dignified resting place, complete with a polished marble headstone, a well-written tribute, and a stunning photo of Chira.
However, what his grandmother found during her recent visit left her shaken.
"Last Sunday, my brother came home and told me that Chira's grave had been demolished. It took me a day or two to go see it, but I later confirmed it had been like that for over a month," she recalled tearfully.
She explained that on her first visit after learning of the incident, she chose not to go alone, saying her heart was too heavy to bear by herself.
Instead, she returned accompanied by a few TikTokers who have frequently checked in on her since Chira's death, often visiting her and going live with her on the platform.
During this visit, she and the TikTokers documented the extent of the damage: the once elegant grave had been defaced, and Chira’s framed portrait, a focal point of the tombstone, was shattered.

She even took a broken piece of the image with her.
As she stood by the ruined grave, her grief overwhelmed her, and she questioned who was still haunting Chira even in death.
She also questioned the timing of the act, noting that if someone had intended to do such a heinous thing, the most likely time would have been shortly after his burial, perhaps to go after the clothes he was buried in or the casket itself.
Despite the pain, she affirmed that she would put up another photo of him on his grave.
The heartbreaking footage has stirred mixed reactions on social media, with many questioning why someone would do such a thing.
