He stated:

"Some people frown when they see me walking around with a bodyguard. You may not understand, but I can't stop to explain why. Others complain that I am always with my videographer. This person is employed, and by working together, he will earn a living. He captures better footage than I could on my own, which helps us create a compelling storyline. That’s employment."

Obinna continued:

"I employ roughly 34 people who are on a monthly salary exceeding KSh 1 million. This amount is exclusive of production and logistics costs. Even in months when I don't profit, I dig into my own pocket to ensure my staff is paid, often foregoing my own salary. I am directly supporting 34 families."

In addition to his own employees, Obinna explained how he contributes to other businesses within the industry.

"For example, when I hire a camera, a location, and other equipment for a music video, it creates jobs for around 50 people. This includes producers, directors of photography, lighting technicians, set designers, transportation, makeup artists, costume designers, dancers, and extras. If I hire TikTokers for dance challenges, the number of people involved can easily reach 50," he elaborated.

Why did Oga Obinna storm out of TV47 interview?

As reported previously, on April 30, the funnyman was hosted by fellow comedian Dr Ofweneke on his show on TV47.

The episode began on a high note, with the two exchanging light-hearted jokes and poking fun at each other.

Moments later, Ofweneke returned to the stage and, to everyone's shock, splashed the water on Obinna mid-show.

However, the joke did not land well. The mood shifted instantly as Obinna took off his stylish glasses and called out Ofweneke.

Despite the tension, Ofweneke appeared to still think it was part of the banter and refused to apologise.

This prompted Obinna to officially end his appearance on the show.

Ofweneke remained unapologetic, even instructing his crew to bring more water, joking that he would splash Obinna again.

The clip capturing the moment attracted massive reactions from fans.
