Kenyan comedian Zacharia Kariuki alias KK Mwenyewe's death has left the country in shock.

One of KK's close friends took to social media to share the sad news of the comedian's untimely passing.

The comedian, who graduated in 2024, was a Rigathi Gachagua imitator, and he had expressed interest in meeting the former deputy president.

What happened to KK Mwenyewe?

KK reportedly passed away while receiving treatment at the Kiambu Level 5 Hospital.

A friend of the comedian asked Kenyans to pray for the family, who were still grappling with the news.

In the skit, KK imitated job seekers and, in a pretend interview, spoke about his achievements.

"KCSE I scored a B+ and in the university I got a first-class honours," he shared.

During the 'interview', he was told that before he gets the job, he needed to take a drug test.

"I think we can employ you, but before that, there is something we usually do here, we conduct a drug test."
"Even for smoking? No okay, you just employ someone else. I do not know, but I might fail," he said in response.

The comedian never failed to share a video every day on his TikTok account, but two weeks before his demise, he went silent.
