Fallen comedian Zakaria Kariuki, better known as Mr KK Mwenyewe, once filmed himself eating a plateful of peppers, an act he documented online.

His death was confirmed on Tuesday, July 15, by a close friend and fellow content creator, who shared the heartbreaking news on social media.

Mr KK passed away while receiving treatment at Kiambu Level 5 Hospital.

TUKO.co.ke has revisited the day he recorded himself eating one kilogram of peppers. On that occasion, he wore a Manchester United jersey and black trousers.

He took on this challenge because he had promised to eat peppers if Manchester United lost to Chelsea.

When Man U was defeated by Chelsea, he followed through on his promise and filled a white plate with peppers.

During the challenge, he was seen gasping for air and even appeared to lose consciousness as he struggled to finish the peppers.

Ultimately, he succeeded in eating everything, but it had a significant impact on his health, leading to his hospitalisation for treatment.

In the video, he said:

"I just want to eat. I don't want to know the repercussions of this. Whatever happens after this, I blame the Manchester United players. Because I promised you people, I have to take it. Let me begin."

In one of his past interviews, which has resurfaced after his death, the comedian revealed he was stunned when his video mimicking Gachagua went viral.

Many noticed their striking resemblance and wondered if they were related.

He jokingly recalled that he even questioned his mother about his true paternity, as the resemblance to Gachagua was uncanny.

As Kenyans on social media mourned him, some expressed deep regret that he never had the chance to meet the politician.
