Popular content creator Mr KK Mwenyewe, real name Zakaria Kariuki, has sadly passed away.

News of his untimely death was shared by his close friend Kafengo, who revealed that the comedian breathed his last while receiving medical care at Kiambu Level 5 Hospital.
KK rose to fame for his humorous, low-budget skits, especially his spot-on impersonations of former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua.
His satire quickly gained him a loyal following, and he became a household name in Kenya's comedy space, especially on TikTok.

How did celebs mourn KK Mwenyewe?
As news of his passing spread, tributes began pouring in from fellow celebrities and political leaders.
Among the first to mourn him was his close friend and fellow Kikuyu comedian Guka wa Nyumba Kumi.
In a heartfelt tribute, Guka shared their last WhatsApp conversation, revealing how the two had been planning an upcoming event just a week before KK's death.
KK had sent Guka a photo to use in designing a poster for the show, promising to attend and support the gig. Sadly, he never made it.
“Last week we had talked and promised to attend our event… So sad 😢 & unbelievable. May he RIP,” Guka wrote, sharing the final screenshot of their chats.

Fellow comedian Mbote Njogu also took to social media to honour KK, writing:
“Life is so unfair at times. Na venye huyu jamaa alikuwa anajituma. Rest in peace KK. I loved his Riggy G accent.”
MC Bull shared a short, emotional message:
“Gone too soon. Rest in peace Mr KK Mwenyewe.”
Content creator and comedian Vinnie Baite added:
“So sad bana 😭 May his soul rest in peace.”
Did politicians mourn KK Mwenyewe?
The wave of tributes extended beyond the creative community, with politicians also sharing their tributes.
Busia Senator Okiya Omtatah praised KK’s contribution to political discourse through comedy.
"Through his wit and creativity, Mr KK boldly reflected society back to itself, not to divide, but to enlighten, teach, and bring people together. Kenya hasn’t just lost a comedian, but a fearless young voice and a cultural observer. May he rest in peace, and may his legacy continue to spark boldness and imagination in those he leaves behind," he wrote.
Mumias East MP Peter Salasya also joined in mourning the young talent, penning:
“From Allah we come, and to Him we return. Deeply saddened by the passing of Zakaria Kariuki, our vibrant Mr KK Mwenyewe, whose authentic content brought joy to many. As a youth leader, my heart aches for this loss. To the Kenya Content Creators Association, you’ve lost a true asset. RIP, champ."
Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro also mourned the entertainer with a touching message, noting his death came as a shock.
"This is tragic and sudden. Zachariah Kariuki (Mr KK Mwenyewe) was a very talented and creative comedian. We send our most heartfelt condolences to his family following his passing on. It is still unbelievable. Poleni sana. May KK Rest In Peace. We are African and Africa is our Business,"Ndindi wrote.
Mourning the content creator, Dennis Itumbi wrote:
"KK Mwenyewe was a one-man theatre — simple, effortless, and naturally hilarious. You made the internet lighter. We clicked, subscribed, and laughed. Today, no doubt, Heaven has hired a laughter engineer. Sleep well, KK. Keep them entertained up there."
How did peppers affect KK Mwenyewe?
TUKO.co.ke looked back at the unforgettable moment KK filmed himself consuming an entire kilogram of peppers.
He had vowed to take on the spicy challenge if Manchester United lost to Chelsea, and when they did, he kept his word.
The challenge quickly turned dangerous, and at one point, he was seen gasping for breath and appeared to black out from the intensity.
Though he managed to finish the plate, the stunt took a toll on his health, eventually landing him in the hospital.
