The entertainer passed away while undergoing treatment at Kiambu Level 5 Hospital.
His close friend, also a content creator, shared the heartbreaking news online on Tuesday, July 15, and requested prayers and support for KK’s family and loved ones.
The comedian had been experiencing chest complications, and though he had no spouse or children, his passing has left a deep void in Kenya’s online comedy and content creation scene.
Did KK Mwenyewe see his death?
KK was vocal on governance issues and even participated in street protests calling for better leadership, an end to police brutality, among other issues.
At one point, protesters said they planned on marching to State House, Nairobi, to 'oust' President William Ruto.
KK capitalised on it by creating a humorous yet dark video.
The clip shows him wearing black trousers and a white shirt, dancing in front of the president's official residence.
The background sound was a song by Ugandan singer Dexter Rapper, known for performing with his father.
KK was having the time of his life when suddenly gunshots rang out.
The video's background switched to show a depiction of Jesus. A confused KK looked around, wondering where he was.
"Where is this?? I was just at the State House. Is this heaven?" he said.
Many social media users wondered whether KK had a premonition about his death.

Did Tabitha Gatwiri have a premonition?
Apart from KK, another content creator who indirectly predicted her death was Tabitha Gatwiri.
The actress-turned-content creator passed away on October 31, 2024. She was found dead at her house in Nairobi, where she was living with her boyfriend and siblings.
Gatwiri's lifeless body was discovered in her bed after her family tried calling her, but she wasn't answering calls.
After her death, a video of the TikToker speaking about her death in a skit emerged.
In the TBT clip, Gatwiri and her on-screen boyfriend, Jasper Murume, were conversing about death.
In the skit, she jokingly asked Murume how long it would take him to move on in case she died, but he seemed upset.
The former Churchill show comedian seemed uncomfortable with the death topic and kept telling Gatwiri to stop.
Gatwiri continued pestering Murume with the same question, and she even asked him if she would slap him if she reincarnated as a mosquito.
The comedian repeatedly warned Gatwiri about talking about death, saying it is spiritual.
Speaking exclusively to TUKO.co.ke, Dr Muriithi Njeru, a psychologist, explained that while premonitions are difficult to prove scientifically, cultural beliefs around the power of words and intuition remain deeply rooted in African societies.
“In many African communities, there is a long-standing belief that words carry life and death. What one constantly utters, even in jest, is thought to align with spiritual energy. Although it is impossible to determine whether these entertainers truly foresaw their passing, their words may have resonated with deeper fears or subconscious awareness, something our ancestors often referred to as gutiri indo iria ihuruka na mundu o na Atari, meaning nothing leaves with a person without revealing itself first,” he told TUKO.co.ke.

In other news, a resurfaced social media post by the comedian showed him mourning Liverpool forward Diogo Jota, who died alongside his brother André in a tragic car accident.
The crash occurred when a rear tyre of their Lamborghini burst during a high-speed overtaking attempt, causing the car to lose control and ignite.
KK shared a photo of Jota celebrating and expressed his condolences in a heartfelt caption.
The post has since gone viral, with Kenyans reacting emotionally, reflecting on the unpredictability of life, especially after KK’s sudden death just days later.
