KK rose to fame by imitating Gachagua when he was sworn into office, and his content revolved around his talking, walking and dressing style.

Many loved him so much that it caught the attention of the vibrant politician, who at one point promised to meet the comedian.

However, news emerged that the celebrity succumbed while undergoing treatment in a hospital, leaving Kenyans in shock.

While paying his tribute, Gachagua noted how outstanding KK was with his craft, referring to him as "content creator par excellence".

In his words:

"I have this morning woken up to the sad demise of Mr. Zachariah Kariuki alias Mr. KK Mwenyewe, a content creator per excellence and inspiration to many. Mr. KK, a young, consistent, and resilient young man, used comedy to communicate simple and creative messages to all Kenyans and spoke to our hearts. I send my deepest sympathies to his family and his friends at this difficult moment. I especially condole the creative industry on the loss of a champion whose creative eye lives with us for days to come. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may God grant his family peace."
