Taking to social media, Kafengo honoured KK with heavy words that reflected the bond they shared, not only as performers but as brothers in ambition.
He spoke of the dreams they were chasing together, the laughter they built their brand on, and the pain of watching that shared vision come to an end too soon.
“Mr KK Mwenyewe, a brother, a best friend, a partner in every skit, laugh, and late-night idea. We were building something beautiful... stitched together with love and ambition. You left before the punchline, before the big break,” Kafengo wrote.
He vowed to carry on the dream they started together, promising to keep KK’s spirit alive.
" I will carry your spirit in every scene, every script, every laugh that hurts a little more now. This journey isn’t the same without you, but I’ll keep going for us, for the dream, for the light you left behind, and for the future we promised ourselves and each other," he added.
The tribute was accompanied by two photos that captured their journey: one of the duo in their now-iconic oversized suits, an unmistakable part of their comedy identity, and another in matching T-shirts reading “Good food is good mood.”
The post struck a chord with fans, who flooded the comment section with messages of comfort and strength.
Many encouraged Kafengo to keep going and honour KK’s legacy and vowed to support his comedic journey also.
