“To our president, Your Excellency, the youths are crying for your attention. Please hear them. Many are educated yet jobless; they are frustrated by the system, which seems not to value their potential,” she said, adding that many are sinking into frustration due to a system that appears to disregard their potential.
Biketi, who once opened up about how she met Oparanya at the airport, further highlighted the grim reality of insecurity that has left many youths living in fear.
According to her, cases of abductions and extrajudicial killings are deeply troubling and have worsened the sense of vulnerability among young people.
“They also live in fear due to abductions and extrajudicial killings, which are deeply troubling,” she noted, adding that this state of fear is eroding trust in institutions that are supposed to protect citizens.
Biketi in the address also issued a strong plea for urgent action and compassion from the Head of State.
“We humbly urge you to look into these matters with urgency and compassion,” she added.
