As Kenyans mourn the late comedian KK Mwenyewe, many have given former radio presenter Andrew Kibe his flowers for helping him.

KK was sick and died in the hospital, and his death was confirmed on Tuesday, July 15.

Known for imitating Rigathi Gachagua, Kenyans slammed the politician for his tribute to KK, yet he never honoured the deceased's wish to meet him.

On Tuesday, November 1, Kibe used his social media platforms to spearhead a fundraiser in support of KK. Kibe revealed that he and a group of friends pooled resources to help clear the comedian’s outstanding school fees and support his creative work.

Kibe said they believed in the comedian’s potential and wanted to see him continue producing content.

In response, KK expressed deep appreciation and shared that he planned to pay school fees and purchase equipment like a camera, tripod, and lighting gear.

KK said that he was close to deferring his studies due to pending fees and had not yet received his HELB disbursement for the semester.

The KSh 350,000 marked a turning point for KK, as he also started his content creation company.

Kibe paid tribute to KK, writing:

"Rest easy, my friend, you played it well."
