The couple also asked for privacy during the transition.
"We remain fully committed to maintaining the privacy and well-being of our Family during this transition. We ask that our privacy be respected as we navigate this personal matter. We will not be making any further public statements whatsoever regarding this matter at this or, at any other time - and we do appreciate your understanding. We thank you. Silas Jakakimba & Florence Adhiambo," it continued.
But one X bigwig had a problem with the part where the couple asked for privacy.
He wondered why they were asking for privacy when they let it out with the announcement.
He argued that Silas couldn't have released the statement if they needed privacy.
"Silas, before you posted that statement, none of us knew you and your wife had separated. Now you've announced it to the internet unprovoked, and you're asking for privacy? You could've just stayed quiet," the X user, who goes by the username @IamJoseh, wrote.
