The mother of two recently celebrated her son’s 19th birthday in style with a lovely lunch date.
She also penned a touching message on social media, attaching TBT photos they had taken in the past.
What happened to Kate's son?
Kate shared an update on her son’s health via her Instagram Stories in the wee hours of the night.
At first she did not share details about which child it was since she is a mother of two, a son and an adorable daughter.
Kate shared a worrying post about how fickle life is, one minute you’re laughing with your child, and the next you are in the hospital with them.
She thanked her family and partner for supporting her through the tough time.
“One minute you are laughing the next one, you are crying with your child in hospital. Thank you so much Nurse Simon, Dr Angela, Dr Rono and team at... Kiambu Road. Also I really thank God for family, for my person," she shared.
In another slide, Kate revealed that her son had broken ribs and he was out of danger.

She also thanked her fans for their prayers after sharing the news of her son's hospitalisation on the internet.
“It's the big boy guys he is out of danger recovering well. Thank you for your prayers. Why are boys always breaking things, kama si roho zetu wanavunja, ni mifupa zao. Fear men always,” she said.
