George went all out as he hired DJs and a hype man to entertain the eager crowd.

However, the heavens opened, and rain poured down, but that did little to dampen the spirit.

The matatu culture enthusiasts braved the rain as they danced along to the music.

Lenny, who previously drove George's Matrix matatu, is the man behind the wheel of the game-changing matatu.

After the festivities at KICC, thousands tagged along as Mood headed to the CBD.

It was accompanied by George's other vehicles, Money Fest and Matrix.

Things came to a standstill in the CBD as the eager young crowds escorted the matatu for its debut CBD trip.

What makes Mood matatu special?

Mood boasts numerous features, including solar panels and a DJ booth. Instead of the usual 34 seats, the PSV has 25 seats and is geared towards passenger experience rather than just transport.

Simon Onyango, a matatu enthusiast and photographer, tells TUKO.co.ke that Mood is a game-changer in several aspects.

“Never have I witnessed so many people show up for a matatu launch like they did today. Mood has united all the routes. We have people from Umoja, Ongata Rongai, and everywhere in between.
The way it is geared towards the passenger experience changes the way investors approach matatu fabrication,” he said.

TUKO.co.ke learned that Mood is operating along the Embakasi route and officially started working on Saturday, 19 July.

The 25-seater matatu has bucket seats, glass holders, and a DJ booth, making it ideal for on-the-go parties.
