After KK's death, rumours surfaced that he was raised by his grandmother, who was getting buried on the same day he had breathed his last.

His friend Kafengo has been championing Kenyans to contribute towards KK's final send-off.

Kenyans questioned where his family members were and why they had not spoken to the media since his passing.

Kafengo put people's doubts to rest by visiting the family and sharing a video of the late comedian's mother and uncle speaking.

KK's uncle urged Kenyans to continue supporting them by contributing to the till number shared by Kafengo.

"I am thankful for the visitors here. We would just like to ask that you people help us thank you for what you are doing, helping us. Keep doing that," he said.

The late comic's mother painfully shared that her son was her last hope.

"Thank you, I am mama KK I loved him so much. He was my support, but it happened as it did, it was God's will, and we thank this team for standing together to help us. Truly, they continue supporting us with the till, and we are grateful," she said.
