Earlier speculations on social media claimed that the influencer-turned-actor had been attacked by people who wanted money from him.

Was Bradley Marongo attacked?

However, his manager, Frank, told TUKO.co.ke that they were rescued by good Samaritans as he recounted what happened.

"Yesterday, after watching the match between FIFA Best and FC Bundes together with Bradley, we experienced a very unfortunate incident. FIFA Best won the match 1-0. After the final whistle, Bradley headed to the car. On the way, a group of goons started following him and attempted to steal his Samsung Fold. Luckily, Bradley, being physically strong, managed to secure his phone and fight them off," he said.

Frank added that the person who scored, identified as Kelvin Etemesi, jumped in to assist Bradley and helped him get in the car.

However, during the scuffle, Bradley was pickpocketed; fortunately, he had nothing valuable in his pockets at the time. The attackers got more aggressive, kicking the car and even denting the back part. I was trying to get into the car as well, but they didn’t immediately notice I was with Bradley. I was left outside until our driver saw me through the window while I was calling out for him to open the door, and thankfully, he did," he further said.

Franked claimed that one of the goons and he immediately through the phone he was holding into the driver's seat.

He, however, had KSh 100,000 in his pocket that they took alongside his identification card.

"Sadly, the money they took was a deposit meant for a client reel we are supposed to shoot next week in Kilimani. In the middle of the chaos, we were rescued by five of my loyal supporters who came through for us. They had three motorbikes and made sure we exited the scene safely," he further said.
