KK Mwenyewe's Family Announces Burial Date for Late Comedian to Be Held in Kiambu

Comedian Kafengo has announced when content creator Zakaria Kariuki alias KK Mwenyewe will be buried, days after his passing.

His family met and came up with the date they planned to lay KK to rest, even as many are still mourning his untimely passing.
The information was shared by fellow comedian Kafengo, who disclosed that they received the update after visiting the comedian’s family and praying with them.
When will KK Mwenyewe be buried?
Speaking in a video shared on Facebook, Kafengo also revealed that he joined the burial committee, alongside the family and the church where KK was a member.

Together, they agreed that the burial would take place on Wednesday, July 23, 2025.
"So, yesterday we went to KK Mwenyewe’s village in Lari to plan the burial. We sat down with the committee, family, and church, and we came up with a date for the burial. He will be laid to rest on Wednesday, 23rd July 2025,” Kafengo said.
He further disclosed that the burial will occur at KK’s home in Lari Gathiroini, Kiambu county.
The comedian urged netizens to continue supporting the family of the late comedian, who rose to fame for his flawless content mimicking former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua.
Following the announcement, fans could not help but notice that Kafengo, a member of KK’s inner circle, appeared to have not rested since the comedian died while seeking treatment.

What did Gachagua say about KK's death?
Former DP, Gachagua, who is currently in the US, penned a moving tribute to celebrate the life of comedian KK after his passing.
He referred to him as an excellent content creator who not only entertained but dazzled many with his craft.
The politician also sent a condolence message to KK's family and the creative industry in the country.
However, many bashed him for not giving KK the chance to meet him despite making the promise.
They also criticised Gachagua for giving jobs to other people and not rewarding the comedian.
