“Kila mtu apewe, nawapenda wote. Kila mtu akunywe yenye anakunywa mpaka alewe,” Sonko declared, pledging to cover everyone’s drinks for the night.
However, the party did not stop there. Sonko went on to offer something extra for couples seeking privacy, saying he was willing to pay for rooms for those who wanted to “enjoy themselves” with their partners.
He noted that, given the current tough economic times, people deserved a chance to unwind and be happy, even just for a night.
To top it all off, the politician ensured that only premium drinks were served, making sure everyone was treated to the good life, if only for a moment.

How did Sonko help Boniface Kariuki's family?
After the unfortunate death of Boniface Kariuki, a hawker who was shot at close range by police during protests against police brutality, Sonko stepped in with a compassionate gesture.
The former governor pledged to handle all transport and burial-related costs, offering a modern hearse, a white coffin, and the support of his medical team.
He also promised to buy a burial suit for the late Kariuki.
Additionally, he sent KSh 150,000 to the grieving family to assist with food and other expenses, supplementing the KSh 100,000 they had already raised.
