KK passed away at the Kiambu Level 5 hospital on Thursday, July 15, where his friend Kafengo had taken him for treatment.

Was KK married?
A close friend of the comedian sympathised with Pauline, praying that she comes to terms with KK's death.
He disclosed that the content creator's death came as a shock to many, not only to his family.
He recalled how KK struggled to study but made it despite the challenges, revealing that he was yet to start earning from content creation.
The source told TUKO.co.ke that the deceased preferred to keep his private life under wraps and didn't know much about his relationship.
"I'm not sure if he had introduced her to his family because he preferred to keep his private life away from the limelight. As content creators, his death has hit us hard, and I pray that his family accepts it is the will of God," he told TUKO.co.ke.
The comedian who rose to fame for imitating Rigathi Gachagua will be laid to rest at his family home on Wednesday, July 23, in Gathirono, Lari, Kiambu county.
What killed KK Mwenyewe?
Kafengo revealed that the deceased comedian battled a recurring stomach condition for five years. He shared that he had been on treatment.
"He had been going to hospital, yes, but two months ago, the issue became more serious, and a month later it worsened. On Friday, July 11, he went to a private hospital and was referred to a public hospital for further assistance," Kafengo shared.
He revealed that after treatment, KK recovered and looked okay; little did they know he would die in a few days' time.
He disclosed that they had planned to meet to shoot content a few days after his death, but it didn't happen.
Another friend, actress turned content creator Shiphira, also recalled a day KK complained of stomach problems while on set.

In a separate story, content creator Chicha painfully mourned KK Mwenyewe.
The TikToker admitted that most celebrities, despite fame, struggle to make ends meet.
He opined that most fake lives on social media to entertain fans, but behind closed doors, they suffer in silence.
Chicha claimed that if KK's TikTok's 1.1 million would translate to money, he would have sought help at a different facility and would have survived. Many influencers echoed Chicha's sentiments, urging fans to be supportive, especially by gifting content creatorscduring live TikTok sessions.
