King David Emotionally Recalls Late Son's Animated Spirit During Birthday: "Still See Your Smile"

How did Prince Mateo die?

Mateo died on Sunday, July 20, after drowning in a swimming pool during a family vacation.

The little boy had sneaked out to the swimming pool, and by the time his parents realised it, he had already drowned.

King David reflects on late son's birthday

Mateo's death came just a month after his first birthday celebration. David has painfully recalled how his late son was in high spirits during his first birthday.

He shared several photos of Mateo on his birthday. The little boy was dressed in a white shirt, a black-and-white striped half-court and black trousers. He lay on his back with a smiley face.

Captioning the photos, the grieving father recalled Mateo's laughter, joy and dreams for the future.

The forex trader lamented the tragedy that has permanently changed his life story.

"On this day, we were celebrating Mateo’s very first birthday. Full of joy, laughter, and dreams for the future. We had no idea that just one month later, our lives would change forever 💔," he wrote.

King David struggles to accept reality

David also stated that he still hears Mateo's laughter and sees his smile despite him being no more.

"I still hear your laugh, I still see your smile... And though your time with us was short, your presence was powerful. You taught us pure love, and your memory will live in our hearts forever. Sleep well, my little angel. You made me a proud parent. You are deeply missed, deeply loved... and never forgotten," he wrote.

Earlier, David's friend, George Gatimu, urged all forex traders to support the grieving father during this challenging time.

In a video shared on Instagram, Gatimu said David is in pain and that financial support is the best way to uplift his spirits.

To facilitate this, he set up a group aimed at rallying support and gathering funds for David.

Gatimu explained the need for financial assistance, noting that the nature of forex trading often involves both losses and gains.
