Overexcited revellers reportedly stood on the roof, possibly damaging its solar panels and causing mechanical issues.

Its windows were also broken, and the sound system appeared faulty, suggesting further problems with the power supply.

Lenny, who previously drove Matrix, is at the helm of the public service vehicle.

He kept a low profile online since the Friday, July 18 launch, leading to questions from fans. He was prompted to speak out after receiving numerous inquiries.

What did Mood's driver Lenny say?

In a Wednesday, July 23 post, Lenny filmed himself sending a message of gratitude to their supporters.

"You have been in the comments section and DM asking why I was quiet since Mood was launched. I am not silent; I am still here. The only thing that I have is happiness. My heart is full of joy, and I don’t know how to explain it,” Lenny said.

Do police officers fear George Ruto's Mood matatu?

During the interview, Lenny responded to claims that Mood is untouchable. He dismissed claims that police avoid stopping them out of fear of facing severe consequences for arresting the president's son's crew.

Lenny was responding to claims that matatus linked to the president's son flout traffic rules; MoneyFest was once impounded by NTSA, and the driver was arrested. He was later arraigned in court and released on KSh 100,000 cash bail.

Lenny revealed that the police recently stopped him while driving the fancy matatu, noting that they are doing their work.

He added that whenever George's matatus are stopped, the drivers comply. He dismissed claims that matatus are recklessly driven, stating that people often confuse speed with indiscipline.
