Dorea Chege Weeps While Visiting Bedridden Githurai Mum, Prays for Her: "Son Changes Diapers”

Actress Dorea Chege has broken down while visiting a woman and her children in Nairobi’s Githurai area.

The mother of one and her partner, DJ Dibul, were in the area for a promotion when they heard about the woman’s plight.
“We felt very touched by the story and decided to go see her,” Dibul said.
What did Githurai woman tell Dorea Chege?
When they entered the house, they found the woman lying in bed. She disclosed that she has multiple health issues.
“I have a problem with my stomach, asthma, ulcers, problems in breathing, heart problems, my spine is not okay, and my nerves are dying,” she said.
She mentioned that she has a sister and a brother, but they sometimes ignore her calls.
“I have been bedridden for four years. I have two boys who change my pampers,” she said.
The video showed an emotional Dorea speaking to the eldest of the two boys.
“Are you the one who changes your mum’s pampers?” Dorea asked, and the boy nodded.
Why did Dorea Chege cry?
She assured him that everything would be okay.
Dorea was overwhelmed by the story and wept profusely while hugging the boy.
Dibul gave her some money, while Dorea offered a prayer.
“If you are capable and can help, please join us and come visit them,” Dibul said.
The post caught Eric Omondi’s attention, and he pledged to visit the family.
“Team Sisi Kwa Sisi, I have seen your numerous tags on Dorea Chege’s page. I am on my way to see this mother of ours... Please be on standby as we try our best to reduce this pain and help her regain her life for the sake of these children. God bless,” he wrote.

Two days after the heartbreaking video went viral, Eric, who was moved by Millicent's story, visited her and even cooked ugali and sukuma wiki meal for the kids.
While seated next to the bedridden mother of two, the human rights activist took to social media to rally support for the family. He shared Millicent's number, and as usual, Kenyans contributed generously.
The comedian then opened a paybill, and so far, Kenyans have contributed KSh 6.4 million. Eric disclosed that Millicent needs to raise KSh 15 million, asking Kenyans to continue contributing.

In other news, Eric visited Consolata Aoko Oduya, a grandmother whose heartbreaking story went viral after she attempted to pay her grandchildren’s KSh 245,000 school fees with six chickens.
Aoko had accompanied the children to school, hoping the administration would accept the birds in place of money.
Her selfless act moved many online, including Eric, who launched a public appeal to locate the family.
Eric shared that he had successfully found them. In a touching video, he spoke to the grandchildren, who shared their dreams of becoming a journalist and a doctor.
