King David's son, Prince Mateo Kariuki, died on July 20 after drowning in a swimming pool while on vacation with family.
In a statement he shared on social media, the father of two narrated what transpired leading to the tragic death of his secondborn child.
He revealed on Sunday, July 20, at 11 am, when in their holiday home, their love went outside without their knowledge.

Upon noticing he was missing, they searched everywhere and later found him in the swimming pool.
The two parents penned heartbreaking messages to their son, moving netizens to tears.
Where was King David's son buried?
Mateo, who died just a month after celebrating his first birthday, was laid to rest on Friday, July 25, in Nyeri county.
The young boy's parents were overwhelmed by emotions during their son's burial. David and his wife were spotted in tears as the heartbroken father comforted his wife.
Family and friends, including forex traders, attended the emotional burial and shared photos and videos on social media.
"This is so emotional. Rest in peace, sweet Mateo. Though your time with us was far too short, fly high with the angels 😢. We will hold you in our memories forever," Hezron, a friend of the couple, posted, encouraging them to be strong.
Content creator Kabugi, who attended the funeral, also shared a heartbreaking photo
