The event was held at a popular Nairobi joint, and it kicked off smoothly, with the celebrated Mugithi star delivering an electrifying performance packed with fan-favourite hits.

The guests, in a show of support, showered the star with cash donations as fans cheered them on.

The moment was short-lived, however, as things took a chaotic twist moments after they left the stage.

Among the guests was Samuel Ireri, a budding politician eyeing the Embu Senate seat in the 2027 polls.

As he stepped off the stage, Ireri found himself face to face with Sharleen Wambui, a nominated MCA from Murang’a county and a known ally of first daughter Charlene Ruto and another politician, aspiring Roysambu MP, Kevin Shaban.

It is unclear what sparked an altercation, but the two engaged in a heated exchange that quickly escalated into a physical confrontation.

They appeared aggressive, forcing intoxicated partygoers to intervene and separate them as tensions flared.

To add to the night’s political intensity, the event was also marked by widespread anti-government chants from the crowd.

At the event, Samidoh fired up the crowd with chants that appeared to criticise the government.

Samidoh, who has recently been at odds with the state over his alleged political ties, seemed to make his views clear as he even sang the popular Kasongo Yeye song.
