The Mugithi singer-turned-politician gave an electrifying performance at his much-anticipated homecoming event, held at the Embassy Lounge in Nairobi.
During the performance, Samidoh led revellers in anti-government chants. At some point, when the famous Kasongo Yeye song by Super Mazembe band was played, the musician danced joyfully on stage, leaving revellers awed.
Speaking exclusively to TUKO.co.ke, relationship expert and Nairobi-based psychologist David Wainaina noted that the public drama surrounding Samidoh, Karen Nyamu, and Edday Nderitu points to unresolved emotional ties and a lack of boundaries in co-parenting dynamics.

He explained that playful public mentions, such as Samidoh’s on-stage name-drop of Nyamu, can reignite old tensions and confuse both the parties involved and their audiences.
“When former partners share children and remain in the public eye, it becomes difficult to distinguish between personal closure and public performance. These blurred lines often prolong emotional entanglements, even when both individuals claim to have moved on,” Wainaina said.
Are Samidoh and Karen Nyamu back together?
A few days ago, before Samidoh jetted back into the country, a video of him kissing his wife, Edday Nderitu, went viral.
A fan took to social media to ask Senator Karen Nyamu if she had seen the video, and she cheekily responded.
Nyamu hinted at a reunion with Samidoh, leaving fans confused. The two broke up in 2024, and not so long ago, Nyamu revealed she had moved on, but her reaction after Samidoh and Edday's kiss left fans with speculations.
Fast forward to Samidoh's homecoming event, the Mugithi singer playfully mentioned his baby mama, Nyamu, leaving revellers in stitches.
While performing Salim Junior's song, "Mdosi," in which the singer shares his heartbreaking story of how three women squandered his money, Samidoh seemed to enjoy the lyrics.
In the original version, Salim talks about Fatuma, Nyambura and Akinyi, who used to call him mdosi (boss) when he had money, before they milked him dry. While performing the song, Samidoh tweaked it to Nyamu, leaving revellers amused.

What happened at Samidoh's homecoming event?
In a separate incident, an altercation broke out between two politicians during Samidoh's event.
Murang'a nominated MCA Sharleen Wambui, and Embu politician Samuel Ireri were captured on camera in a heated exchange that quickly escalated into a physical confrontation.
Aspiring Roysambu MP and businessman Kelvin Shaban could be seen trying to separate the two as a group of revellers helped him.
The video went viral with Shaban and Sharleen reacting to the ugly incident.
Why did Samidoh and Karen Nyamu break up?
In July 2024, Nyamu shocked fans after revealing that she and her second baby daddy were no longer together.
The mother of three later, while conversing with politician Kururia, revealed the reason why she broke up with Samidoh, claiming he was unable to handle his relationship drama (between her and Edday).
Seemingly corroborating with Nyamu's explanation, Samidoh, while eulogising his "father", Colonel James Gitahi, the singer said he reprimanded him over his dramatic relationships.
At that time, Samidoh said he was surrounded by a lot of drama and grabbed headlines for the wrong reasons.
Samidoh said Gitahi and his wife, nominated senator Betty Monent, asked him to stop the drama, and he did it.
Nyamu recently revealed she had moved on, saying her man likes to keep away from the limelight and she will never post him. She also hinted that the man was going to pay her dowry.
