Karen Nyamu Embarrassed as Mourners Ignore Her Speech at Mavela's Funeral

Mavela was laid to rest on Saturday, July 26, and his friends and colleagues were there to bid him farewell.
Was Karen Nyamu ignored by mourners?
However, Nyamu had some moments to forget from the funeral.
She tried to make a speech but was ignored by mourners.
In a clip making rounds on social media, the senator could be seen addressing mourners, but they were not interested in it.
They heckled her and proceeded with carrying his coffin to the grave as if the politician wasn't making her speech.
"I have come here to console you. I'm sorry I came late. Young people, you have done a great job. Mavela, rest in peace," she said.
Mavela, a crew member of Nairobi's Opposite matatu, died in a CBD accident last week.
The clip impressed netizens, who are not happy with government, as majority lauded the mourners for not giving an uninvited politician attention. Below are their comments:

TikToker proposes to Karen Nyamu at Mavela's funeral
During Mavela's funeral, vocal TikToker, Gaddafi stole the show after proposing to the nominated senator.
Gaddafi, who was holding a rose flower, pampered Nyamu with love, saying he had decided to gift her his expensive silver necklace, which he equated to the price of a Toyota Probox.
The TikToker then went on his knee and proposed to Nyamu with the flower, and she accepted the proposal amid cheers from the mourners. He then removed his necklace and put it around her neck, before hugging. A Toyota Probox costs approximately KSh 700,000, and netizens claimed Gaddafi was just clout chasing and that his chain isn't pure silver.
Nyamu blushed during the moment and, sharing the video, she talked about how ghetto love is real.
The clip went viral, with some slamming Nyamu and Gaddafi for creating content in the wrong place. Others hilariously reacted to the video, pitying Nyamu's lover.
Did Samidoh throw shade at Nyamu?
In other news, Mugithi singer-turned-politician Samidoh gave an electrifying performance at his much-anticipated homecoming event, held at the Embassy Lounge in Nairobi.
During the performance, Samidoh led revellers in anti-government chants.
At some point, when the famous Kasongo Yeye song by Super Mazembe band was played, the musician danced joyfully on stage, leaving revellers awed.
In an unexpected moment, the Mugithi singer playfully mentioned his baby mama, Nyamu, leaving revellers in stitches.

While performing Salim Junior's song, "Mdosi," in which the singer shares his heartbreaking story of how three women squandered his money, Samidoh seemed to enjoy the lyrics.
In the original version, Salim talks about Fatuma, Nyambura and Akinyi, who used to call him mdosi (boss) when he had money, before they milked him dry. While performing the song, Samidoh tweaked it to Nyamu, leaving revellers amused.
