In her tribute, she expressed her anguish, questioned why God had taken her 19-year-old daughter, and shared the ongoing pain she continues to feel.

Later in the day, Moraa visited her daughter’s final resting place alongside her two sons and her close friend, actress Sandra Dacha.

The group carried a colourful wreath and stood quietly at the grave, which now bore signs of time with only a few sprouting flowers.

The moment was captured in a video shared by Dacha, showing Moraa overwhelmed with emotion as her sons held her tightly.

Dacha, in a show of solidarity, comforted Moraa and attempted to lighten the mood, managing to draw a faint smile from the grieving mother.

They were also seen praying at the grave, joined by family members as they reflected and remembered Marie.

Captioning the visit, Dacha wrote:

“Dear Moraa, today is a day heavier than all the past for the last one year. May our Lord give you a stronger back to carry the load🫂. Forever in our hearts Marie Achieng’. One year down, eternity to go.”
