Patelo and his bride, Diana alias Dee, earned praise from many Kenyans for their unusual wedding, with many saying it was devoid of pretense.

Speaking to Oga Obinna, Patelo faced questions about the wedding's total cost and the planning behind it.

"We are inventors and influencers. We know how things go, and we split the duties," he said.

How much did Patelo and Dee's wedding cost?

Patelo then stated that it cost a lot of money.

"It cost around KSh 500 million," a straight-faced Patelo said.

Obinna was taken aback and wondered how it could have cost that much.

"Just like that," Patelo said, making Obinna laugh.
"You are lying to me. That’s half a billion!" the host said.

Patelo stuck to the figure, saying that it even cost more than that.

Breakdown of Patelo and Dee's wedding

Obinna then asked for a breakdown of the costs.

"The cars. Did you see the high-end vehicles that we used? The venue, food, guests, the décor, and everything.
Invitation cards, the photography, our looks. We even had seafood. My friends piled their plates; some were eating kebab and rice.”

Obinna then asked how much Dee's dress cost, and she said that she imported it from Dubai.

"It cost KSh 1.6 million," Dee said.

Obinna remarked about how rich the couple must have been.

Patelo then said that his suit cost KSh 1.7 million, while his friend's cost KSh 2.2 million.

"That’s why I was running when they were pouring juice on me – because it’s expensive."

Patelo then mentioned that their wedding cake was also imported from Dubai.

"It had a lighting system."

He also said that their wedding rings cost KSh 1.5 million.

Breaking down his look in the interview, Patelo said his silver teeth cost KSh 300,000, while his silver chains cost KSh 4.2 million.

Obinna wondered whether he could be robbed.
