Many Kenyans lauded the newlyweds' unique wedding, calling it unpretentious.

The couple appeared on Radio Jambo for an interview with Massawe Japanni.

During the interview, Diana opened up about the overwhelming attention she has received since their wedding and her thoughts on the reactions from Kenyan women.

VJ Patelo's wife's message to haters

When asked how she felt about the attention, she admitted that it had been overwhelming.

"It's overwhelming," she said calmly.

The conversation soon turned to social media, where Diana shared that she does read the comments that flood her posts.

"People will always talk and you can't control their opinions. I read those comments and they crack me up. People will always talk. You can't control their opinions," she continued

Diana also claimed that many Kenyan women are jealous of her relationship with VJ Patelo, which has sparked mixed reactions online.

"They are hurting so much. Let them look for another one. This one is gone. He is gone," she said.

Did Patelo's wedding cost KSh 500m?

As reported earlier, the Arbantone spoke about the cost of their wedding.

Speaking to Oga Obinna, Patelo faced questions about the wedding's total cost and the planning behind it.

"We are inventors and influencers. We know how things go, and we split the duties," he said.

Patelo then stated that it cost a lot of money.

"It cost around KSh 500 million," a straight-faced Patelo said.

Obinna was taken aback and wondered how it could have cost that much.

"Just like that," Patelo said, making Obinna laugh.
"You are lying to me. That’s half a billion!" the host said.

Breakdown of Patelo, Dee's wedding

Obinna then asked for a breakdown of the costs.

"The cars. Did you see the high-end vehicles that we used? The venue, food, guests, the décor, and everything. Invitation cards, the photography, our looks. We even had seafood. My friends piled their plates; some were eating kebab and rice.”

Obinna then asked how much Dee's dress cost, and she said that she imported it from Dubai.

"It cost KSh 1.6 million," Dee said.

Patelo then mentioned that their wedding cake was also imported from Dubai.

"It had a lighting system."

He also said that their wedding rings cost KSh 1.5 million.

Breaking down his look in the interview, Patelo said his silver teeth cost KSh 300,000, while his silver chains cost KSh 4.2 million.
