The late Zakaria Kariuki alias KK Mwenyewe's best friend, Kafengo, has been gifted a phone days after burying the renowned comedian.

KK died while undergoing treatment at the Level 5 hospital in Kiambu, leaving many of his supporters and content creators shocked.

His best friend Kafengo narrated that he died beside him while they were awaiting treatment, leaving many feeling sorry for him.

Kafengo was also instrumental during the burial process, steering the online fundraiser and keeping people updated with plans and communication from KK's family.

How did Kafengo react after getting new phone?

After the burial, Kenyans rallied support for Kafengo to get a good phone that can help him pick up his life and continue creating content.

He shared a video thanking them for their support and prayers, even as he navigates life without his famous buddy.

"I'm here with updates. After your support, I'm at the store and I can assure you that I have found a phone. Only a few things are remaining, like the mics and lights, but I know through your support and God, all things will be possible. Mine is just to thank you for holding me up through this sad and heartbreaking moment, but I know everything will be fine. May God support you all," he said.

His message comes after he was seen arriving at Dennis Itumbi's office, where he had been offered a job.

Elsewhere, when KK's casket was being lowered into his grave, Kafengo had an emotional moment as he helped the pallbearers.
