Sarah was married to Simon Kabu for 15 years, but in late 2024, she confirmed that they were no longer together, accusing the father of her two children of cheating on her.
The Bonfire Adventures co-founder revealed that she emotionally left her marriage to Simon in 2022 and was hanging in there.
Did Simon Kabu buy Sarah a Range Rover?
In July 2017, Kabu brought business along Nairobi's Koinange Street to a standstill when he 'surprised' his wife with a KSh 30 million Range Rover Sport as a birthday gift.
The car did not come alone, but with a five-tier red velvet cake and an after-party at the former Kiza Lounge in Kilimani to celebrate Sarah's 39th birthday.
“I decided to have the cake and car brought to the office because I wanted to surprise her. She at work and that was the best way to surprise here," Kabu shared.
Flaunting the car, excited Sarah thanked her husband for making her dream come true.
"The Range Rover Sport has always been my favourite. I wanted to own one by the time I turned 40, but my husband surprised me with it for my 39th birthday. I promised myself I’d get it for my 40th, but he beat me to it," Sarah said in a previous interview.

Fast forward to 2025, the Bonfire Adventures director has denied that Simon bought her the car.
Were Sarah and Simon Kabu living a fake lifestyle?
In an exclusive interview with TUKO, Sarah said many people live a lie and only fake happiness for the public. She said she kept most of the things a secret to protect her family.
"I know many women fake happiness just to cover their marriages," she said.
The mother of two disclosed that they decided to lie that Simon had bought her the car, but in the real sense, she bought herself the car.
"I saved for it for five years......We had to think of a way to unleash it to the public that Simon had given me, but it was not a gift. I paid for it for five years," she said.

Why did Sarah and Simon Kabu break up?
In another story, Sarah accused her ex-husband of being a narcissist, contributing to their failed marriage.
The mother of three recalled one incident that broke her, forcing her to rethink whether she wanted to stay in her marriage.
