It all started when the controversial preacher sparked backlash after a video from one of his church services showed him mocking Nyawira for being unmarried.

In the clip, Kanyari used her as an example while addressing women in his congregation, making comments that many found disrespectful and demeaning.

What did Kanyari say about Nyawira?

His remarks suggested that intelligence determines a woman’s marital status, prompting laughter from some congregants, including Nyawira herself.

He went on to dismiss physical appearance as unimportant, emphasising financial independence and intellect. He urged women to pray for brains and use them to get money.

The clip left many Kenyans questioning why people continue to attend his services despite repeated incidents of offensive behaviour.

The video prompted some Kenyans to urge Naywira not to date the preacher. Tired of the unwarranted advice, the content creator told off the concerned parties during a live session.

Is Nyawira dating Kanyari?

“You are telling me I am simping, I am depressed, and desperate. Who do you want me to love?" she asked. She said that her heart cannot shift.

Nyawira then showcased a tattoo on her arm, indicating it was related to her love for Kanyari.

"I am at his place. The more I see him, the more I love him."

Nyawira noted that she loves herself, and that is why she loves Kanyari.
