The apology comes after a controversial incident where an audio clip surfaced, allegedly revealing Karangu gossiping about his wife with a woman believed to be Tata Essy.
Did Karangu Muraya shame wife Triza?
In the leaked audio, Essy is heard discussing with Karangu how Triza allegedly walked around with worn-out undergarments after Karangu had reportedly abandoned her upcountry.
The conversation, in which Essy and her friend Esther Baumbach are said to have critiqued Triza’s circumstances, was met with criticism.
The situation worsened when it was revealed that Karangu had recorded the conversation and forwarded it to his friends.
After the leaked audio, Karangu took to Facebook to admit his mistakes and apologise to Triza for his actions.
How did Karangu Muraya apologise to Triza?
He expressed deep regret over the pain he caused her, acknowledging that he had failed as a husband and as the father of their children.
“I have wronged you. I have said and done things that have caused you pain. I know I have failed you, and I take full responsibility for my mistakes. I'm sorry for allowing people I assumed were your friends to discuss you. I also hope you’ll remember the many moments I’ve genuinely loved, supported, and stood by you. I ask for your grace, not because I deserve it, but because I still deeply value our family," Karangu stated.

Karangu further explained the challenges he has faced, which he believes contributed to his actions.
He spoke about his emotional and mental instability, which he said affected his behaviour, and described how the illness of his brother added to his emotional turmoil.
“I have gone through a lot of challenges in the recent days, I have not been mentally, emotionally, and socially stable, and as a result, I lost focus. I’m sorry to allow pressure, frustrations, and emotions to control me," he wrote.
The apology continued with Karangu acknowledging that Triza, as the mother of his children, deserves respect and protection, not pain.
“You are the mother of my children. You deserve respect and protection from me, not pain,” he stated.
He expressed a strong desire to rebuild the trust he had broken and vowed to be a better father to their children.
“I am deeply sorry. From my heart, I am asking you to forgive me. I want to rebuild the trust I have broken. I want to be a better father to our children, now and in the future,” he added.
Karangu also extended an apology to his friends, fans, brands, and family for the damage caused by his actions.
"To my friends, followers, my brands which I worked for, and my family - I also ask for your forgiveness. Pray for me and my family. I am human, I have made mistakes, but I am determined to stand again and correct my wrongs,” he wrote. “Mungu anipe nguvu ya kusimama tena, this time as a better man.”
Why did Triza leave Tata Essy's house?
In May, after a successful album launch event, Triza moved out of Essy's place, where she had been staying since her arrival in Nairobi earlier this year.
Essy took to social media to share her side of the story, detailing how she offered Triza support when her husband left her and provided her with a place to stay.
However, she was disappointed to find that Triza had moved out without even a heads-up.
The Akorino TikToker expressed feelings of being ghosted.
