Mungai’s friend, Sheilah Sheldone, took to Instagram to rhetorically ask whether the influencer had passed away.
Who is Sheilah Sheldone?
Sheilah and her ailing mum went viral in 2023 for their interviews seeking money for treatment.
As the entertainment industry is small, the two are bound to have met and even exchanged contacts.
Sheilah asked her fans to confirm whether the influencer was dead.
She wrote:
“Can someone explain to me this please? Is Mungai Eve dead? Please can someone tell me if this news is fake?”
How did Mungai Eve react to the death report?
This came as a shock to Mungai, who screenshotted the post and later shared it on her Instagram Stories.
Mungai wondered why Sheila could not reach out to her and confirm whether the news was true or fake.
She shared her shock, wondering why someone would decide to ‘kill her’ while she was still alive.
Mungai blasted her for not reaching out to confirm whether she was okay, yet they know each other on a personal level.

Did Sheilah Sheldone relocate?
The young artist Sheilah managed to relocate to the US with her ailing mum, Vivian Otieno, after seeking KSh 4.5 million for her mum's treatment.
TUKO.co.ke reported that Vivian had started ailing in 2015, and she revealed at the time that she needed treatment in India.
She said that her health problems began in 2015 when she had stomach problems and was found to have fibroid tumours.
Doctors did six surgeries on her, during which they put in plastic intestines and took out one of her ovaries.
Vivian said that the reason she had decided to speak up was due to the fact that she was dying in silence.
Sheilah revealed that her mother's sickness had traumatised her; watching her lying helplessly in bed had changed her.
Is Mungai Eve on a celibacy journey?
In other news, the talented influencer revealed that she was on a celibacy journey after her ex, Shifuwayy's, exposé on her.
The YouTuber Mungai was shocked when her then-boyfriend went on a rant on social media.
It was also revealed that Mungai had loaned him KSh 1 million that he was yet to pay back.
She leaked screenshots of their conversation to blogger Njambi Fever.
