Kenyans linked the man behind the photo to Sudi claiming that he was wearing a similar watch and a pair of white trousers.
Sudi met up with comedian Senge Helena in his office to reconcile, and he shared a couple of photos.
The MP was seen rocking a diamond-encrusted watch with a black sweatshirt and white trousers.
Some hawk-eyed online sleuths also noticed a birthmark on his hand that is noticeable in his other photos.
There have been rumours online that the influencer and the politician have been dating, but none have been confirmed.
Mercy has been spotted hanging out with Sudi and even visited his home when Juma Jux was in the country for a wedding performance.

The musician was a guest at Sudi's home after his performance at the star-studded billionaire's son's traditional wedding.
After her photo went viral, Mercy took to Facebook to humorously commend online sleuths for their work.
"Good evening DCI officers," she wrote.
She promised to unveil the face of her lover in due time and accompanied the caption with a photo interlocking her hand with her bae's.
"I will post his face next year. For now, relax. Good evening from my little world."
Mercy also asked Kenyans DMing her with advice to keep it to themselves and open 'counseling centres.'
She acknowledged the rumours circulating online but neither confirmed nor denied them.
"I’ve seen some of you have a lot of good advice go ahead and open a counseling center now. I already have enough advisors for now. Thank you, dear ones,"
Kenyans noted that they were holding on to her promise that she would share her lover's face.

The two had an exchange, and Hanifa claimed that Mercy was dating the politician.
