"Sunset at noon. Many years ago, two little girls from a small village in Butere dared to dream, a dream that felt impossibly large for girls like us. We chose nursing, not because it was an option, but because it was a purpose. While in Nursing School, we faced closed doors, empty pockets, and moments where hope seemed like a flicker in the distance. But we kept going. We knocked, and God answered. ACCESS offered us a partial scholarship, and suddenly, our dreams began to take shape. It wasn't just about graduating, it was about rising. And we rose," she said.
Senje further narrated how their friendship continued and how she stood by Omusula when she lost her mum.
"From a bedside nurse to an ICU expert to a global nurse, Jane climbed every rung with quiet confidence and unmatched brilliance. She was sharp. She knew her craft. She had no room for self-pity. She smashed ceilings like they were made of glass," she added.

What were their last messages?
She further narrated her last conversations with her when Omusula asked her to extend her stay in South Africa so they could hang out.
"I was in Johannesburg, she slid into my DMs asking me to extend my stay so we could hang out in Cape Town. I wish I had. I so wish I had. Now it’s just a memory. August 7, 2025. A day I will never forget. I’d had a long day and logged into Facebook. I saw the AMREF post about the plane crash. My stomach twisted. We had spoken just this Monday. I tried to reach out, and calls were not going through. I had texted her, my messages unread. I assumed she was airborne. But something felt off. Then I called. And called. And hoped. I reached out to Esther, her sister, but her phone was off. Constance Atamba and I kept praying. Hoping. But at 8:46 p.m., my world crashed. My worst fears were confirmed," she added.
