Speaking to Kenya Diaspora Media USA, she revealed that divorce was never something she wanted but felt forced into by the situation she found herself in.
"The divorce was not something that I wanted, and in my heart, I knew that was not something that I wanted. It was the circumstance that I found myself in, and it forced me to do it. There was really nothing else I could do because my husband had married another woman while I was still with him, so what do you expect? I had to protect myself. I remember I had a very tough time because it was not something that I wanted to do," Keziah shared.
Furthermore, she opened up about the deep emotional scars left by the challenges in her marriage.
Despite the pain, Keziah said she had to keep a brave face, especially at work, where her bosses and colleagues were unaware of her personal struggles.
"At times, I could just burst out crying. Like for my Sunday morning show, it used to be about worship, and so people, even those who were divorced, would expect that I encourage them and give them hope, and tell them good things, all while I also did not even know what my heart wanted because my heart was broken. That used to pain me a lot, but I used to pray to God to give me strength," she recalled.
After their separation, Kiengei married Reverend Joy, who he shares two kids with.
Keziah also found love again and remarried, but rumours later surfaced in late 2024 suggesting she may have parted ways once more.
Kiengei, Keziah, and Joy share a cordial relationship, with occasional appearances together and sweet birthday messages that hint there is no bad blood between them.
