A viral video has emerged where an elderly man is claiming to be the biological father of Mumias East MP Peter Salasya.

In the video, the man, who bears a striking resemblance to Salasya, explains that he was once married to the MP’s mother.

According to his account, the two separated while Salasya was young; he was only three months old. He strongly believes that he is the father.
The elderly man urged Salasya to examine their physical similarities, suggesting that the resemblance between them is undeniable.
"Huyo ni mtoto yangu. Tuliwachana na mama yake akiwa na miezi tatu. Kama kamezaliwa. Na hata Salasya mwenyewe atokee tu aangalie tu sura," he said in the video, which translates to (That is my child. We separated when his mother was three months pregnant. When he was born, he resembled me. Even Salasya should come and just look at our faces).
He went on to describe their past, noting that they had lived in Busia’s Marachi Estate, and mentioned the distinctive features he believed Salasya shares with him, such as his head shape.
