Notable figures at the event included Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, Lang'ata MP Jalang'o, Senator Karen Nyamu, Law Society of Kenya president Faith Odhiambo among others.
From the moment gates opened, the experience felt different.
The stage commanded attention with its grandeur, captivating the audience with stunning visuals.
The sound was exquisite, clear from the front row to the back, and the large screens ensured that every detail and emotion from the performers was visible to everyone.
Anyone who was involved at the event agrees that the production value was on another level.

Which company organised Luo Festival?

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Homeland Itoya Events director Edwine Anayo revealed the company started out as a supplier of tents and basic infrastructure and has evolved into a full-fledged, end-to-end events management powerhouse.
He revealed their recipe for success.
“We realised that the audience should never have to think about the technical side of an event. If people are talking about the sound or lighting for the wrong reasons, then we’ve failed. They should be talking about the music, the performance, and the memories they’re making," Anayo said.

TUKO.co.ke also caught up with another group of organisers, Sam Gold of Easy Music Africa (EMA), who hailed the company for their exceptional services at Luo Festival.
“Homeland Events delivered an exceptional setup for the Luo Festival, professional, well-organised, and visually stunning. The teamwork was amazing.”
What other big events has Homeland Itoya organied in past?
Homeland Itoya’s reputation has also extended beyond Kenyan borders.
In 2024, the company made history by becoming the first non-European events company to co-produce The Bürgerfest; the annual Citizens’ Festival in Germany, often hosted at the German President’s official residence, Schloss Bellevue in Berlin.
The Bürgerfest is a prestigious celebration of civic engagement and cultural exchange, attracting thousands of guests, including diplomats, artists, and community leaders.
Its involvement not only showcased Kenya’s ability to deliver world-class event production but also demonstrated that African companies can compete, and excel, on the global stage.
Notably, the perfect execution of the Luo Festival comes at a critical moment for Kenya's live entertainment industry.
In recent years, the sector has battled pandemic-era disruptions, rising production costs, and a series of high-profile event flops that shook public confidence.
Major sponsors like East African Breweries Limited (EABL), once steady backers of flagship events such as Walker Town and Tusker Oktoberfest, had scaled back after repeated logistical failures, last-minute cancellations, and refund controversies.

With Luo Festival 2025 now being hailed as a new benchmark for large-scale Kenyan events, there’s hope that more organisers will raise their production game.
