Fullstop had three children: Andy, Mike and Sheila, whom he loved and adored.

Andy is the MC's grown son, and he did not need support when he walked onto the dais to honour his father.

He wore a black suit that matched his dreadlocks and gave a glowing tribute dedicated to the hypeman.

What did Fullstop's son promise him?

Andy said that his father was more than just a man who raised him; he was his guide and teacher in life.

The young man noted that his father taught him the value of hard work and how to face life's challenges.

"A tribute to my father, John Maina, popularly known as MC Fullstop. My father was more than just my old man, he was my guide, my protector and my bigger teacher. He was strong, not just in body but in spirit. He would face life challenges with courage and enough determination. He taught me the value of hard work, the importance of resilience and how to manoeuvre through the ups and downs with wisdom and grace through his words and actions," he said.

Andy recalled his father's teachings on rising every time he failed in his endeavours.

"He would teach me that strength is not about never failing but about rising every time you are knocked down. I will never forget his life, his laugh, his advice, his reasoning and the love he gave me," he said amidst tears.

He broke down while promising to continue his father's legacy.

"Even though you are no longer there in flesh. The lessons he taught me will guide me for the rest of my life. Rest easy, daddy. Your legacy will live on in me, and I will carry your name with pride," he added.
