Bungoma Goliath Elated after Being Gifted Boda Boda: "Asante Sana"

Social media sensation Isaac Otesa, better known as Bungoma Goliath, is celebrating yet another milestone in his steadily improving life.

Goliath, who moved from Bungoma to Nairobi in search of greener pastures, has been working as a brand ambassador for city car dealership Car Soko for over five months.
In that time, his lifestyle has been gradually transforming.
What was Bungoma Goliath gifted?
In his latest update, the towering content creator revealed on social media that he had been gifted a brand-new boda boda.

The gesture was as monumental as it was nostalgic for him, as he previously worked as a boda boda rider back in the village, often struggling to earn a steady income.
This time, however, the motorbike is not intended as a source of income but rather as a reliable means of transport.
Videos captured the moment Goliath received the gift, his face lighting up with joy.
Despite his towering frame, he comfortably sat on the bike and even rode it around the showroom with a pillion.
“Thank you so much, I am very happy that our boss Felix Limo has blessed me with a bike because now I will never miss work and will never be late. Bossy abaarikiwe,” he said.
Why was Goliath gifted the bike?
In an exclusive interview with TUKO.co.ke, Car Soko’s Head of Sales and Marketing, Patrick Riang’a, explained that the organisation’s CEO, Felix Limo, personally spearheaded the decision to gift Goliath the motorbike.
“Goliath has been doing exemplary work as our brand ambassador. He has been coming to work through public means since he had no driving experience. We took him to a driving school, which he completed, but since he still needs more experience, we thought a car was not ideal just yet,” Riang’a said.
He added that Goliath’s past experience as a boda boda rider in the village made the gift a perfect fit.
“Every time he was in a matatu, people would ask why a brand ambassador was travelling with them. We decided to get him a motorbike to make his commute easier since he works an 8-5 job. He is also now a salesman, and when he gains more driving experience, we’ll get him a small car. In the long run, he’ll need a mid-size SUV because of his size,” Riang’a explained.
Riang’a also noted that Goliath’s career trajectory is promising, as he now earns both a salary and commission from car sales.
“He might even be able to afford his own car soon. We have taught him how to fish, it’s now up to him to keep fishing for himself,” he said.

Was Bungoma Goliath invited to the US?
In other news, Goliath drew the attention of a Mzungu man living in the US, who offered him an opportunity to travel abroad.
The invitation came shortly after Otesa expressed his frustration over frequently being mistaken for Bradley Mtall, especially during his time in Dubai.
The Mzungu man also defended Otesa from criticism, suggesting the visit as a positive next step for him to grow.
