These are the types of scenarios you only see in movies and wonder whether they exist in real life - a woman offering you money to leave her crush alone.

This happened to a lady named Njoki who had been chatting with a man she liked, not knowing another woman was obsessed with him.

Njoki posed a question to her followers, asking whether the dating market was like that or if she was the only one who received such types of texts.

"I need to understand something. Why would you text me to stop talking to a man who is hitting on me because you feel he is too attached to me, and you need him so much and even offer money for me to ghost? Soko iko hivi ama ni mimi napata wamama wazimu wanataka mutu ananitaka?"

In the series of chats she leaked, the woman had texted her using a pseudo account, wondering whether they could chat.
