MC Gikunga Dies Months after Wedding, Wife Painfully Mourns Him: “Till We Meet Again”

Gikunga was widely admired for his command of the microphone, often bringing life and laughter to weddings and other social events.
When did MC Gikunga die?
His sudden death was confirmed on August 14, only months after his wedding, and shortly after he had made a public appeal for financial support while receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness at Kenyatta National Hospital.

In a statement shared by the family, they wrote:

“We, the family of Stephen Njoroge Gikunga, together with the committee, are saddened to announce the death of Adamson Gikunga. A fundraiser will be held on 17th August 2025 to raise money for the hospital and other bills. Committee meetings are being held at our home (Kerwa) every day from 7 pm to 8:30 pm to support the family.”
The heartbreaking loss hit his wife especially hard.
She took to social media, posting a video of Gikunga in hospital regalia, where he had seemed to be on the road to recovery.
She accompanied it with a touching tribute and a sombre song, writing:
“Rest in peace hubby, till we meet again.”
The couple was blessed with a daughter, making the tragedy even more painful for the young family.

Did KK Mwenyewe die?
TUKO.co.ke previously reported on comedian KK Mwenyewe's untimely death.
The entertainer, famed for imitating former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua, passed away on July 14 in the hands best friend Kafengo while awaiting treatment at Kiambu Level 5 Hospital.
He had been battling recurrent stomach complications for the past five years.
