The team's strong showing in the tournament has already earned them big rewards, both on and off the pitch, with each player pocketing millions in direct gifts.
How much did President William Ruto promise players?
It started when President William Ruto announced that each player would receive KSh 1 million for every match they won and KSh 500,000 for a draw.
As the tournament unfolded, the team secured victories against DR Congo and Morocco, drew with Angola, and finished with a 1-0 win over Zambia.
These results have seen the players collectively earn KSh 5 million each within just two weeks.
However, with this surge in recognition has come an influx of new attention from individuals who now want to be associated with the players.
Why does Mansur Suleiman ignore unsaved numbers?
Suleiman, who has been a standout defender for the team and has been linked with a move to Europe after CHAN 2024, admitted that he has been receiving numerous calls from new numbers, calls he tends to ignore.
"New number ikiingia siwezi shika. Si kwa ubaya. Ulikuwa wapi hiyo time I was a nobody?" Mansur said.

He revealed that the same people now reaching out were not there when he was struggling.
"Someone is coming because of this limelight and asking for this and that. I don’t think it is a good thing, and I don’t focus on such issues. I only focus on my family and my closest friends."
His remarks have ignited massive reactions from fans.
