The musician has been trending on social media since February after revelations that his marriage is not as perfect as it appeared online.
What did the Karangu recording reveal?
The latest twist comes from a leaked audio recording of Triza Njeri, Karangu’s first wife, angrily confronting him over his affair with his second wife, Carol Kim.

In the recording, Triza gives Karangu a chilling ultimatum, declaring she is ready to exit the marriage and leave him for Carol.

At points, her voice trembles with anger and desperation, and she even threatens to harm herself.
Karangu, meanwhile, sounds more relaxed in the conversation, dismissing her threats and insisting that his children will have a perfect life.
The audio has sparked widespread criticism online, with many accusing Karangu of narcissism and mistreating Triza, while others have expressed sympathy for her.
Who leaked the Karangu audio?
Both Karangu and Triza have maintained that neither of them released the recording to bloggers.
Karangu admitted he had recorded the conversation as a precautionary measure, fearing Triza might harm herself.
He claimed that a close associate reached out to him just hours before the audio leaked.
The singer also explained that he is convinced someone close to him, whom he did not name and who appears to be intent on destroying his marriage, is to blame for the recording.
Triza, however, did not hold back in pointing fingers.

Shortly after the audio emerged, she took to social media, accusing Carol Kim of being behind the leak.
In a post later deleted, she penned a message laced with profanities saying:
"I don’t want madness, let people talk the truth. She has claimed to have my recordings insulting her husband. She is the one who leaked them. These recordings are from last year. Even some pastors have them and spoke to me very badly, and all along I did not know what they were talking about."
As of this publication, Carol has yet to respond to the accusations and has deactivated her social media accounts as the drama unfolds.
Karangu has also not commented on whether Carol is behind the leaked recording.

What did Triza say about the recording?
