Onyi has composed a song for Gachagua and has since shifted his allegiance from Raila Odinga to Gachagua.
Why did Onyi Jalamo ditch Raila?
The new song, which is a remix of his NASA Tibim, is meant to welcome Gachagua back to Kenya.
In the song, Onyi praised Gachagua as a truthful man ready to lead a liberation in the country.
TUKO.co.ke caught up with him, and Onyi explained he has a right to compose a song for any Kenyan.
He revealed he is working on a new song titled Reset, which will heavily praise Gachagua and vilify those in the government.
"I'm a musician and that's my business. I am allowed to sing for anyone, just like any other service provider. This song was just a teaser to the main one, which will be released soon," he said.
Can Gachagua win against Ruto?
Onyi expressed confidence that Gachagua has all it takes to lead the country and argued that if elections were to be held today, he would defeat President William Ruto.
"Raila is currently in government, so he can't criticise it. Gachagua has succeeded him as the official opposition leader. He is a truthful man and can liberate us. I fully support him, and if elections were to be held today, Gachagua would get 80% and President William Ruto would only get 20%," he said.
How did Onyi Jalamo shoot to fame?
Onyi rose to fame in 2017 with his NASA Tibim song. The song was composed for Raila, who was then the flagbearer of the National Super Alliance in the 2017 General Election.
Onyi performed the song in several political rallies and branded himself as Raila's ardent supporter.
Did Onyi Jalamo reject marriage with non-Raila supporters?
Previously, Onyi listed some of the requirements for his future wife.
The musician said that he would never marry a woman who did not support the politician and that anyone who did not support Raila was his enemy.
He also included the requirement that, even if the woman supports Raila, she be prepared to flaunt her support for him in public by donning his branded t-shirts.
